As January draws towards a close, so do my holidays. I’ll be back blogging next week at the start of February and I have some great content lined up. For now, however, I thought I would share with you what I had for dinner tonight. No, this blog is not heading in a new direction and becoming a food lovers blog. The reason I want to show you what I had for dinner tonight is because, apart from the sauce and the meat, everything else was grown in my garden! To the right you will see a picture of my simple Asian stir fry as it sizzled away on the stove top.

Now, I am not a chef so I don’t always concern myself with what is supposed to go with what, I just chuck a whole heap of different ingredients in and hope it works! In this case, I really enjoyed the mix of colours and flavours that were present in the meal

Ingredients from my garden

Silverbeet
Carrot
Green Capsicum
Lemongrass
Purple Runner Beans
Purple Speckled Basil
Basil
Cherry Tomatoes
Roma Tomatoes
Spring Onion

In a few weeks I’ll be able to add Bok Choi to the mix! I really do enjoy growing my own herbs and vegetables 🙂

Also, my January newsletter edition will be out in the coming days, I am just working on finalising it now. Hope you are enjoying the summer. If you are one of the many people affected by the Eastern States floods, my thoughts and prayers are with you in the recovery. I’m sure for you, right now, getting your garden in a good state is the last thing on your minds. Good luck with the recovery!
