Zanthorrea Nursery Western Australia | Australian Native Plant Nursery

For the month of July I would like to feature the Zanthorrea Nursery which “is a family-owned garden centre, located in the hills of Perth, Western Australia.” They are a Australian Native plant nursery with over 600 varieties from around Australia available.

One of the great things about Zanthorrea Native Nursery is that they are an accredited nursery which means you know the plants you get from there will be top quality.

Zanthorrea Nursery

Zanthorrea Western Australia Nursery

Another sign that they are a fantastic nursery is that in April this year they won the national  ‘Best medium garden centre’ award, making it six times now they have won this prize.

This goes to show that not only are they now a good nursery, but they have been so over a long period of time and this is always a good sign of a good nursery.

Longevity in plant propagation can be difficult to achieve but Zanthorrea has been a leader in the Australian Native field for some time. They have a fantastic website with news articles, new plant releases and all the information that you could need in regards to finding them.

One asset that I believe all plant nurseries should have is a full list of the plants they have available and this is something that Zanthorrea has, though they do not guarantee every plant listed is in stock.

Over the years they have assembled quite a team of people who work there, taking care of the plants at every level, from propagation to sales. There is a great mix of young and old faces who will always greet you with a smile and are very helpful with all your gardening queries.

They also release a fantastic quarterly newsletter which is free and great value! Don't miss our list of Australian tropical plants and where to best buy them.
