What could be causing white spots on my lemon tree leaves, and how can I treat it effectively?

Are they small raised spots or flat large spots? If they are raised, it could be some sort or pest, in which case you can use neem oil to treat it. If they are large flat spots it could be sunburn, possibly from watering when sunny or a sun shower.

    Hi there,

White spots on lemon tree leaves can be caused by a variety of factors, so identifying the cause is key to effective treatment.

If the spots are small and raised, they might be caused by pests like scale insects or mealybugs. Neem oil is a great option for controlling these pests—just ensure you apply it early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid leaf burn.

If the spots are larger, flat, and irregular in shape, sunburn could be the culprit. This often happens when water droplets on leaves magnify sunlight, such as after a sun shower or watering during peak sun hours. To prevent this, try watering early in the morning or later in the day when the sun isn’t as strong.

Feel free to share more details or photos if you’d like further guidance—I’d be happy to help!

    Happy gardening,
    Maisie
